Gas Weed Wacker

Pros:

1. Probably the most popular weed eater of them all, gas weed eaters are known for their power and ability to handle some of the toughest weeds.
2. Much more mobile than electric wackers with battery or with cords.
3. More robust for commercial use
4. More versatile (can be used in small and large yards.)
   

Cons:

1. Gas weed wackers are louder and heavier, and pollute more than electric string trimmers.
2. Gas weed wackers are harder to maintain.
   

Cordless Weed Wacker

Pros:

1. Lighter, quieter and pollutes less than a gas powered weed wacker.
2. Easier to operate and maintain than gas powered.
3. Electric weed wackers are usually less expensive than a gas weed wacker
4. Can handle the average suburban lawn.
   

Cons:

1. Less power than a gas powered string trimmer.
2. Limited battery life.
   

Electric Weed Wacker (with cords)

Pros:

1. Lighter, quieter and doesn't pollute as much as a gas weed eater.
2.  Easier to operate and maintain than a gas weed eater.
3. Less expensive than a gas powered, or cordless weed eater.
   

Cons:

1. Less power than a gas weed wacker
2. Not as mobile as a gas, or cordless weed wacker
3. Is usually suitable for only a small yard
